Hot. It's so hot outside.

We have been swimming a lot lately at the apartment pool since it is so hot. It gives us a chance to practice things from our swimming lessons too. Yesterday we didn't bring any toys and there were kids with balls and noodles... Connor was most displeased and made his displeasure known. So today I made sure to pack up many toys and since no kids were there with toys, Connor could care less about the toys I brought. heh.

If it is still hot this weekend maybe we'll take some pool pictures.

Bouncy Boy

Getting up from a big bounce in the bouncy house!

Connor's second swim lesson was today, he had a good time. We did scoops (paddling), kicks, bubbles, and back floating. Plus, we played with some pool toy "ducks" (Connor's was a rabbit) throwing them and swimming out to fetch them, and Connor did *not* want to put it away when it was time. And let it be known.

"No Mama! No No Mine! Mama Mama Maaaaaama!"

Yes, the whole pool could hear him I am sure. ;)

News flash!

You may or may not know that Connor is not really... cooperative about pointing out or identifying body parts. For some reason or another, this is one of "those things" he is supposed to be able to do. In fact, until a few weeks ago when he started ID-ing the cat's teeth (a dangerous game....) and his stuffed bunny's teeth, and my belly button (I think he finds it fascinating that it is shrinking), we weren't sure he would ever cooperate ;).

Tonight, he added nose. And! Not only does he point out "Daddy's nose" and "Mommy's nose" but he also points out.... Connor's nose! A first! He IDs something on himself!

In other random updates, Daddy is still the only person he will identify in a picture by pointing at the picture and announcing who it is. Even when Mommy and Connor are clearly visible in the picture too. Heh. :)

Yay Mickey Mouse! This shirt was only 5 cents at a yard sale. :) It made my week. Connor's too!

Funnily enough, Connor can almost spell Mickey Mouse. He can sing this little song M-i-c-k-e-y M-o-u-s-e but he doesn't always get all the letters right ;).

We went to a picnic at the zoo today for zoo members, at which I had to forcibly remove Connor from several bouncy houses when his turn was up. Pictures in the future if any of them come out not blurry.

Connor's playgroup went to an indoor playground today. He's been there before but he wasn't quite as big then. He can really climb everything on his own now and he had a blast.

Connor starts swim lessons today!

There won't be any pictures of it because it is a parent/child class and I'll be in the water with him. We are both excited though. Yay for swim lessons!

Hopefully by the time he's three he'll be toilet-trained because that's a requirement for the three-year-old class. Heh.
